BASIC MULTIMEDIA TRAINING REGISTRATION FORM
The Enrollment Services Systems Office is offering a Ellucian developed multimedia/computer-based navigation training course to satisfy the Banner Basic Navigation Training requirement part for those Georgia State Banner end-users
This training course provides employees with a basic understanding of how to navigate in the Banner Systems. There is an audio component for users with sound capabilities. Throughout the training course, there are self-test quizzes, and there is guided practice to allow you to enter a new record. There is also a post-test at the end for user to review the training material.
The training course covers all the basic skills such as:
- Navigating through the menus
- Accessing and entering information on Banner forms
- Using buttons
- Using drop-down menus from the menu bar
- Using the toolbar in an easy to use format.
If you have not completed the Banner Account request form, please complete the appropriate Banner Account Request form so we can assign your user ID security access to the database.
You must submit your current campus ID which will be assigned and used as your Banner database user ID.
There is no deadline to sign up for the multimedia training course. Upon receiving the multimedia training registration form, the Enrollment Services Systems Office will send an email to the user on how to access the the multimedia training course.
Banner Training Requirements
- Complete the Multimedia Basic Navigation training.
- Complete the instructor-led Student System Query training which will include a Basic Navigation review.
When new users register for the Multimedia Basic Navigation training via the Banner training website, the Enrollment Services Systems Office will provide instructions for the Multimedia Basic Navigation training AND sign the user up for the next available instructor-led Student System Query training. The new user’s ID will be activated upon completion of the Multimedia Basic Navigation training. However, if the new user fails to complete the instructor-led Student System Query training, their ID will be deactivated. To activate the ID, new users must register for the next available instructor-led Student System Query training.
